Dental Services
Yan Chai Hospital now operates 10 dental clinics which are located at Tsuen Wan, To Kwa Wan, Shau Kei Wan, Kwun Tong, Fanling, Tai Po, Sham Shui Po, North Point, Tai Wai and Yuen Long respectively to provide quality dental services at a competitive price to the public. The first dental clinic was established in 1988 in the hospital by Chairlady Prof. CHIU TSANG Hok-wan, Alice, BBS, JP. Due to rapid population growth in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi, our dental clinic was unable to satisfy the ardent dental service demand. To cope with the rising demand, Yan Chai Hospital Board expanded the dental services in 1998 by equipping advanced dental instruments and employing more dentists and nurses. It aimed at improving both quality and quantities of our dental services and shortening appointment time for treatment. Two more dental clinics were then opened in Shau Kei Wan and To Kwa Wan respectively in the following year. Stepping into the millennium, our Kwun Tong clinic was opened in 2008 and Fanling clinic was opened in 2011. In 2013, we established two more clinics in Tai Po and Sham Shui Po.
In 2015, our Tsuen Wan dental clinic was relocated to the new building, Block C of Yan Chai Hospital, and renamed as "Yan Chai Hospital Board So Kai Sing Dental Clinic". The clinic measures about 2,600 ft² with 4 consultation rooms and equipped with computerized management system. In the same year, we set up our eighth and ninth clinics in North Point and Tai Wai and founded our tenth clinic in Yuen Long in the subsequent year. Besides, we also provide dental services at our very first Integrated Medical Centre, which started to serve the community at Cheung Sha Wan in 2018. Up till now, our dental services have stretched across the city from north to south, covering districts on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories, to maximize our service recipients. Our dental clinics have obtained the Designated Dental Clinics license under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme.

- The Department of Health's "Community Dental Support Programme (CDSP) " was launched on May 26, 2025. All 10 dental clinics under our hospital (excluding the Kwun Tong Clinic) are eligible service providers.
- Our hospital has a total of 9 dental clinics (excluding the So Kai Shing and Kwun Tong Clinics) participating in the "Primary Dental Co-Care Pilot Scheme for Adolescents (PDCC) ," providing subsidized oral examinations and treatments for eligible adolescents.
- The Yan Chai Hospital Dental Clinic (Sham Shui Po) was officially renamed to the "Yan Chai Hospital Mr. & Mrs. Ho Tak Sum Dental Clinic" on December 5, 2024.
- The Yan Chai Hospital Integrated Medical Centre has now added dental implant services, offering patients more comprehensive oral treatment options.
