YC18 Catering Service

Established in 1995, Yan Chai Hospital Madam Lo Lee Pui Ching Memorial Workshop (LLPC) provides diversified occupational skills training services to disabled people. Currently, there are 215 service users and the accumulated number of successful open employment had reached 150 people. In order to increase the opportunity for disabled people getting hired in open employment, the 47th Board of Directors fully supported us to establish catering training centre/ service project - YC18 Catering Service at the ground floor lobby of Yan Chai Hospital Multi-services Complex. It is hoped that the Centre by providing proper food and beverage training and working opportunities to disabled people could enhance their ability to take up open employment. At the same time, the Centre also provides fast, convenient and healthy light food and delivery services to residents in Tsuen Wan district as well as staff of Yan Chai Hospital. In the year of 2017/2018, we were glad to have received a donation of $1 million from Donor Ms. CHENG YIN FONG and part of the operation venue was renamed as “YC18 Cheng Kwok Han Memorial Catering Training Centre ”. The donation was used in improving the services and equipment of YC18 Catering Service. We continued to provide more catering training services as well as placement opportunities for people with disabilities.
