Kwai Tsing Signature Project Scheme - Enhancement of Community Healthcare

Established in 1973, Yan Chai Hospital has been adhering to the principle of “Serving the Community in the Spirit of Benevolence” in providing a wide range of quality services to our community.

In order to provide dental services to the grassroots elderly in Kwai Tsing district, Yan Chai Hospital has participated in the Kwai Tsing Signature Project Scheme– Enhancement of Community Healthcare. The project is funded by Kwai Tsing district Council and Kwai Tsing District Office that we established two mobile dental clinics in the community. The two mobile dental clinics will be parked in different public estates in Kwai Tsing district and provide quality dental examination and treatment to non-CSSA recipients aged 60 or above living in the district.  To enhance the residents’ awareness of healthy lifestyle and prevention of diseases, we have been organizing at least 20 health promotion seminars each year since 2015 and will be continued for three years ahead. The seminars covered various themes including oral care, Chinese medicine and healthy eating habit.  The two mobile dental vehicles have commenced services in the first quarter of 2016 and will serve at least 16,200 targets in first 3 years.
