Introduction:
The unit provides one-stop day care services for the qualified elderly residents (those have been assessed by the Social Welfare Department Standardized Care Need Assessment Mechanism for Elderly Services with the moderate to severe levels of impairment and suitable for day care services). The number of regular service quota is 60. It also provides 5 respite service quotas for the elders who are in need. The service scope includes nursing care, personal care services, rehabilitation trainings, social activities, counselling services and carer support services. It also provides meals services and transportation services. It aims at providing person-centered day care services for the elders while supporting the carers to sustain their roles of caregiving in the community so as to support the elders to age in the communities with dignity, sense of belonging, and sense of worthiness.
Target Service User:
- - Aged 60 or above;
- - Assessed with either moderate or severe level of impairment by the Standardized Care Need Assessment Mechanism for Elderly Services;
- - Tuen Mun district residents are in priority
Facility:
The design is comfortable, spacious and modern. The facilities include electronic nostalgic corridor, mini cinema, dining hall, medical consultation room, physio-therapy room, multi-sensory room, carer resource room, accessible toilet, bathroom etc. It is also equipped with innovative and interesting Geron-tech products.
