Background

Located in Tuen Mun, “Filial Park” is a columbarium with Taoism as the main theme. The Filial Park is jointly developed by Yan Chai Hospital and Fung Ying Seen Koon, it occupied about 3600 square meters and the total construction cost has reached $160 million. In 24 March, 2013, “Filial Park” was officially opened to provide comprehensive columbarium services to the community, and we launched ancestral table leasing service in the memorial hall in 15 March, 2017.

The Yan Chai Hospital Board received a land donation at Tsing Shan Chuen of Tuen Mun in 1998. Due to the increasing aging population, there was an ardent demand for the traditional ancestral commemorative services.  In order to alleviate the private Columbaria shortage, Yan Chai decided to build a columbarium there after thorough consideration and investigation.  As this development project was expected to be in enormous scale, we invited one of the Hong Kong most renowned Taoist charitable organizations "Fung Ying Seen Koon" to jointly develop "Filial Park". Filial Park fulfils all the conditions needed to obtain a license in 1 February 2019 and is the first private columbaria to get a license after the government introduced the licensing system.
