Yan Chai Hospital - Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Centre for Training and Research (Yan Chai) has been relocated to our newly constructed “Yan Chai Hospital Community Health and Wellness Centre” in early 2015. The new centre has a larger floor area of 9,000 ft2 and is now furnished with 9 consultation rooms, an assessment room and a Chinese medicine dispensary. The clinic provides general out-patient services and specialized out-patient services (including Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Dermatology and Acupuncture).
All services at the clinic are delivered by experienced Chinese medicine practitioners who are Associate Professors or above from renowned university in Mainland China. Additionally, a computerized and centralized database system has been developed for a more efficient management of medical records. The clinic is equipped with a 24-hour temperature-and-humidity-controlled herb storage room for keeping more than 640 different types of Chinese herbs and granules. In order to meet the diversified needs of patients, we provide both traditional Chinese herbs and concentrated Chinese medicine granules. Modernized herbal decocting and packing machines have also been installed to offer more convenient and efficient services to the patients. In regard to the extension of clinic services, the clinic has recently started to offer acupuncture service and Chinese medicine health talk to in-house patients of Yan Chai Hospital and elderly centres in Tsuen Wan.
