Yan Chai Hospital- Hong Kong Baptist University Clinical Centre for Training and Research in Chinese Medicine (West Kowloon)

Situated in Cheung Sha Wan Government Office, the nearly 3,000 ft2 Yan Chai Hospital cum Yan Chai Hospital - Hong Kong Baptist University Clinical Centre for Training and Research in Chinese Medicine (West Kowloon) is furnished with 9 consultation rooms, an assessment room and a Chinese medicine dispensary.  Apart from providing general out-patient service, specialized services for Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Urology, acupuncture have also been introduced in this centre.  Additionally, a computerized and centralized database system has been developed for a more efficient management of medical records.  The clinic is equipped with a 24-hour temperature-and-humidity-controlled herb storage room for keeping more than 540 different types of Chinese herbs and granules.  In order to meet the diversified needs of patients, we provide both traditional Chinese herbs and concentrated Chinese medicine granules.  Modernized herbal decocting and packing machines have also been installed to offer more convenient and efficient services to the patients.  In addition, we also provide outreach acupuncture service to in-house patients of Caritas Medical Centre and elderly centres in Sham Shui Po in order to serve more people in need.  This clinic signified a new milestone of our Chinese medicine service by expanding our network to West Kowloon in 2009.
